It is my understanding that a couple folks in this forum have some knowledge on these issues. It is my hope that I can get validation on my situation. I have received a letter from an attorney which stated that they are trying to collect on Wells Fargo's complaint against me. In the letter which was dated 19 October I was given 30 days to reply. I have and in my reply I challenged the debt and asked them to validate. On the 14th, which was the day I sent out my reply, I was served with a court summons. My question is, since they are operating under the FDCPA, am I injured because I was not given my 30 days? Or is the summons a different process that runs concurrently? Sorry for questions but I need validation, or not. Thank you.
